I needed something to take stuff to parties and this seemed like a great option with multiple different uses.However, the look and feel of this tray is REALLY cheap! (Some people might be embarrassed to show up at a party with this cheap thing.) While I don't necessarily mind a cheap accessory (nice to have things to take to a party and if it gets left there or lost you aren't real sad about it) but then it needs to be priced cheaply too. This, on the other hand, is overpriced and I would be disappointed to lose it just because I paid too much for it as it is. We chose this one over the Tupperware because my mother-in-law has one and the lid does not seal very well. Here is how I would break it down: The main veggie tray is sturdy, the flat base is solid, the two inserts (egg and cupcake holder) are really cheaply made but will work just fine. Overall, what I worry about is the lid-latching mechanism withstanding time. I used mine for deviled eggs at Christmas and it is awfully flimsy for that. I haven't used any of the others yet but it will work O.K. for me because it will be used when feeding men in the field. My friend was excited to get hers because she brings food to places all the time. I still think it was a fairly good buy even though not the best quality. |
